By the time you read this I will be on my way back to Canada, once again leaving Ian behind for 6 weeks.
Fun for me, getting to enjoy my friends, family and yay, my garden. Not fun for Ian who still has to work, oh well, someone has to do it…

I am a floral designer living in a tiny condo in downtown Toronto, Canada's largest city. But on the weekend, I am a gardener/frustrated architect trying to keep up with a 3/4 acre garden in Owen Sound, Ontario, a warm (to Canadians, Zone 5b, and a cold (to Americans, Zone 4b) garden.

We can both now complain how chilly it is to each other….as no one here has any compassion for someone who stays in the Caribbean!!!!! Lol. Safe travels……

Deborah will arrive to her snow drops just coming out and two feet of glacier in the driveway mouth. Luckily she will have the flower beds next to the house to work in! lol.
I dug some steps into the ice so she can get into the house!
Temps are scheduled to rise in next few days so hopefully two more weeks will clean most of the snow up.

No compassion, what is wrong with these people, lol. I am sure my blood has thinned and I am going to feel it even more then usual.

I’ve been thinking it was getting to be time for your trip home. Have a wonderful time and don’t overdo in the garden (yes, I’m laughing at that advice – what gardener, including myself, ever heeds it?).

Tee hee, I certainly shall over do it, impossible to restrain me.

Here’s hoping the weather gets a bit nicer before you get here! You might want to run back to Barbados if things don’t improve soon.

I am hoping they improve as well, however I do miss sitting in front of a fire.

I was just thinking about you, wondering if you would get to see your springtime Canadian garden. I am glad that you are! I hope your snowdrops are blooming for you!

Happy trip, Deborah 🙂
BTW if you see I have stopped following you on Reader it is because I have subscribed to follow you via email notifications instead. Getting myself ready for the demise of Google Reader (or its retirement, as Google are calling it).
