Wait for me, Spring

I’m coming to see you!

Much as I do not wish the cold weather on anyone, I don’t want to miss a moment!

Spring is the best time in the cold climate zones – even on a short visit, I’m sure you’ll see changes by the day, even by the hour! Hope you have lovely visit home.

So far so good, weather is looking better. We are going to have rain for maybe the next seven days, but get this…. 56˚ oops… 13.33˚ C, into Sunday. It will be a fine welcome back, flowers should be growing.

Looks like it’ll hold out for you. We had snow this past weekend and the plants are still safely hiding away.

Methinks you have missed the snow [ seriously, Sunday evening it came down in great white flakes, with a bit of thunder tossed in for good measure!] and will hopefully have sunny blue skies while you are ‘home’. Soak it up Deborah!

Hi Deborah, I thought that you might like a weather update for southern Ontario. It is still unseasonably cold. We had more snow just the other day, which eventually turned to rain. Today was again cold, with a shower of hail. Spring still seems to be waiting for your arrival!

Yes spring is coming slowly here in Owen Sound. The snowdrops and crocuses are open, and today the adorable little irises opened, but not much more. You’ll make it.
I sure know how you feel about being here for spring. I have spent springs way up north where there was not a single garden. I was so desperate to see those first spring bulbs, but it seemed like they only had winter and summer, nothing in between.
